Questions About Your Wicklow Woodland Experience
Find answers about trails, timing, what to bring, and how to make the most of Devil Glen
The walk to the main waterfall viewing point takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on your pace. We offer both shorter 30-minute forest floor walks and longer 2-3 hour immersive experiences, so you can choose what suits your schedule and energy level.
Not at all. The woodland floor paths are gentle and accessible for most fitness levels. We've designed our routes to be restorative rather than challenging, and our guides adjust the pace to match the group. If you're recovering from injury or have mobility concerns, let us know when booking.
Spring (April-May) brings wildflowers and bird activity, summer offers long daylight hours, autumn gives you stunning colour changes, and winter has a quiet beauty with lower visitor numbers. The waterfall flows strongest after rainfall. We're open year-round, so pick what appeals to you.
Wear layers and waterproof jacket—Wicklow weather changes quickly. Sturdy walking shoes with good grip are essential since woodland paths can be muddy and rooty. Bring water, a small snack, and maybe a camera. We'll provide any other kit you need, and our guides always carry a first aid pack.
Yes to both! Children aged 5+ love the waterfall trail and stream exploration. We can adjust pace and focus to keep them engaged. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on leads—they're part of the woodland experience. Just book ahead so we can prepare the route and make sure group sizes work well.
We run most experiences in light rain—it's part of the forest atmosphere. For severe weather (storms, flooding), we'll contact you at least 24 hours ahead to reschedule. You can always move your booking to another date or get a full refund, no questions asked.
